Up

A lone, dead Ponderosa pine stands in Leidig Meadow. Ponderosa pines, Douglas firs, black oaks, incense cedars, live oaks, and valley oaks are the most common trees in the Valley, and higher are found  the giant sequoia, Jeffrey pine, white fir, and sugar pine. All told there are found only about 35 tree species in the 1125 square miles of Yosemite National Park.
