Lynmouth has a number of thatched cottages like these, common in this area of Devon. It is on the itinerary of many tours on the Devon coast and daily during the season unloads many visitors who want to shop for souvenirs, or more often sit down to a Devonshire cream tea. Also recommended is the local pub, just below the wall to the right, where the local brew know as Scrumpy or hard cider, is on draft and well worth trying (though one pint only of this powerful brew is suggested!). Just round the corner is one of the best fish and chip shops on the entire Devon coast.
