The Monterey Bay seems peaceful during this Summer sunset, but this shot is from the top of a two hundred foot cliff and those are surfing waves, 10-15 ft high. Is pampas grass simply a weed as some claim? It is certainly ubiquitous and clings tenaciously to west coast cliffs, thus inhibiting the process of soil erosion.
