Up

A deserted Capitola beach is not uncommon in winter but the picturesque village of Capitola still attracts visitors looking for a change in their daily routines. Originally established at the mouth of the Soquel Creek, and known then as Soquel Landing, Capitola village is little changed in appearance over the 130 years since.  It has been a popular vacation destination since before the Civil War.
