Constable Country

The great English landscape painter John Constable painted most of his masterpieces near the villages of Flatford Mill and Dedford Mill in the county of Suffolk. The shots of the River Stour here are in the heart of this area, the swan with the red boat being the precise location of his famous “White Horse” painting and 100 yards upstream from his "Haywain" painting – both of which hang in the National Gallery in London.
